“ Step by step....”
John’s career in the French property market began as a French finance broker – gaining experience under the ex-head of Abbey National France. Later gaining extensive experience with premier resort property developer Pierre & Vacances, helping to build, improve and promote the international sales platform, becoming an expert in the French property and finance market in the process.
Since joining Athena Mortgages, John has overseen the dramatic rise in profile of the business which now stands out as the number one France only mortgage broker for international clients. When he’s not working tirelessly to maintain Athena Mortgage’s high levels of service and reputation, John is focused on taking the brand into exciting new areas, whilst still making time to take care of important clients.
John lives in Surrey with a young family and is an active member of the local community, getting involved in local affairs as a committee member of a six-thousand member resident association and more recently local council candidate for an independent party.

"Hi John
Thanks - that will really help with our cash flow!
We signed the contact yesterday & spent our first night at our new home
Thanks so much for all your help over these last 6 or so months - it wouldn't have been possible without all your efforts.
The service levels which we received from Athena were first class. Also we appreciated the willingness of the team to be flexible & think of various possible solutions to our financing. We never felt pressurised & would thoroughly recommend Athena.
Kind regards,"
Jo
Without Athena Mortgages and John and his team’s hard work, it is unlikely that we would have secured a mortgage from our French property on such agreeable terms. They were professional throughout the process and quick to answer any question that arose. As a London resident, I could not imagine buying a property in France without Athena Mortgages.
Sincerely,
Scott Cobb
